Girl Up is a global leadership development initiative founded by and housed at the United Nations Foundation that positions girls to be leaders in the movement for gender equality. With resources in five languages and 4,000 Girl Up Clubs in 125 countries, they have trained 75,000 girls of all backgrounds to create tangible change for girls everywhere. Girl Up provides leadership training and gives girls tools to become gender equality advocates and activists. In 2021, Girl Up is launching new programming and resources for our leaders centered in Gender Based Violence. Girl Up’s goal is to inspire and equip girls with the knowledge, abilities, and network to spark social change to prevent gender-based violence and foster girl-led solutions to create safer communities for girls everywhere. For this reason, Girl Up and Girls Health Ed have entered into a formal partnership.

Through this partnership, both organizations will maximize the positive impact that girls and young women can have on their communities and help them realize their own power to change their lives for the better. Both organizations will provide girls with more resources, amplify both partner’s work on social media, and ensure speaking opportunities at each other’s events.
