“Women experience complex and unique health challenges and require [health education] even at a young age. Then, they are able to reach their full potential and contribute to the development of the community, and more so, of the nation.”
Wanjiku Mwangi – Teaching Fellow
Teaching Fellows
Our programs would not be possible without the hard work of our Teaching Fellows. They inspire adolescent girls and young women to make healthy and informed decisions throughout their lives.
They provide workshops on nutrition; physical activity; body image, self-esteem, and goal setting; puberty and personal care; violence prevention, healthy relationships, and consent; menstruation; and reproductive health. They also share their personal experiences with the hopes of changing the experiences of the girls and young women we serve.
